Sri Lanka - The Ramayana Yatra with Trincomalee-Dambulla-Kandy-Colombo-Nuwara Eliya from Hyderabad by Flight

• Arrive at COLOMBO AIRPORT  – Via Chillaw to Dambulla
• Up on arrival you will warmly welcome to Sri Lanka and proceed to Dambulla
•  Lunch at the outside restaurant.
• En route, visit Munneshwaram temple & Manavery temple.
• Dinner and overnight stay at hotel – Dambulla Munishwaram Temple

Munishwaram Temple

• It is believed that Munishwaram predates the Ramayana, and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here.
• Munishwaram means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran).
• A Shiva Lingam was already here when Lord Rama visited this place.
• Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya with Sita in one of King Ravana’s Vimanas.
• He felt he was being followed by a Bramhaasthi Dosham (a malevolent black shadow) as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin.

Manavari Temple

• When the Vimana was passing over Munishwaram, he felt the Vimana vibrating, and realized the Brahmaasti Dosham was not following him at this particular point.
• He stopped the Vimana at this juncture and asked god, Lord Shiva, for advice.
• Lord Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised installing and praying at four lingams located at Manavari, Thiru Koneshwaram, Thiru Ketheshwaram and Rameshwaram in India as the only remedy to get rid of the dosham.
• The first lingam was installed at Manavari about 5km from here, near the banks of the Deduru Oya.
• At the Manavari Temple Chilaw Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama. 

Dambulla - Trincomalee – Dambulla

• After Breakfast do a day excursion to Trincomalee & do a city tour in Trincomalee including Tirukoneshwaram temple.
• Lunch at the outside restaurant, then back to Dambulla.
• Dinner and overnight stay at hotel – Dambulla.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Trincomalee

• Located on the east coast of the island. The city is built on a peninsula, which divides the inner and outer harbours.
• In the close vicinity of Trincomalee are some of the finest beaches of Sri Lanka, visit Tirukoneshwaram shrine.
• The construction time of Koneswaram temple has been estimated by comparison between carved reliefs on the temple's ruins, literature on the shrine and the inscriptions commonly used in royal charters from the 5th to 18th centuries.
• Koneswaram was likely founded before 400 BCE, another significant factor of the shrine is the Shakthi peedam (Shankari)
   

Dam bulla – Kandy

• After breakfast, proceed to Kandy.
• En route visit herbal garden.
• Lunch at the outside restaurant.
• Then proceed to Kandy.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• And do a city tour including temple of the tooth relic (Entrance direct by guest)gem museum / Kandy lake.
• In the evening, witness the cultural dance show.(if time permits)Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel- Kandy.
• Spice Gardens - visit a spice garden to see the different spices that Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
   

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (Via Ramboda)

• After b-fast proceed to Nuwara Eliya en route visit Ramboda hanuman temple& Ramboda water fall then proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Lunch at the outside restaurant.
• In the evening to a city tour including tea factory & tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya.
• Evening visit Sitha Amman temple and Ashok Vatika.
• Overnight stay at Hotel- Nuwara Eliya Tea Plantation - visit a tea plantation and a tea factory where one of the best teas in the world is produced.
• You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea and also see how tea is graded.
• Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

NuwaraEliya

• Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate, NuwaraEliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea.
• The mountain slopes and valleys are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls.
• Red or green roofed plantation bungalows, English country style homes and hotels with lovely flower gardens, a fine 18 hole golf course and a racecourse gives NuwaraEliya a decidedly British character.
   

Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

• After b-fast proceed Bentota.
• Lunch at the outside restaurant.
• Evening relax at the beach.
• Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel – Bentota.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
   

• After break fast, proceed to Colombo and do a Colombo city tour.
• Lunch at the outside restaurant.
• Then proceed to airport for departure
