This yatra takes you to the most significant Gurudwaras or Takhts (seats of authority in Sikhism) in India namely Bhatinda, Amritsar, Anandpur, Nanded and Patna. Sri Damdama Sahib in Bathinda is the place where Guru Gobind singh(10th Sikh Guru) prepared Sri Guru Granth Sahib(Sikh scriptures). Sri Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar was built by Guru Hargobind(6th Sikh Guru) as a place of justice. The Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib in Patna was constructed to mark the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh. The Hazur Sahib is one of the five takhts in Sikhism in Nanded. It was built where Guru Gobind Singh passed away and joined the eternal light. The Takht Kesgarh Sahib or Keshgarh Qila in Anandpur is one of the five takhts constructed by Guru Gobind Singh for the defense of the Sikhs. In the process of protecting Sikhs from the Rajas of the Hill states and Mughals, Guru Gobind Singh began the construction of five defensive forts all around the town.
