Taking a holy bath here on Shukla Saptami day of Aswayujamasam on Sunday with Uttarashada Nakshatra is the best day and gives best results. It is believed that this tirtha originated from the lotus feet of the lord.
Pandava Teertham
Pandava Theertham also known as Gogarbha Teertham is located in Tirumala at a distance of 1.3 km from tirumala devasthanam. As per the puranas, it is known that the Pandava brothers lived for a year here, which is at a mole north -east of the Venkateswara temple. Krishna Paksha Dwadasi or Shukla Paksha Dwadasi on Sunday in Vaisakha masam are the best days to take bath here as it gave the victory for Pandavas in a battle.
Japali Teertham
It is the popular tirtha of lord Hanuman who formed as Swayambhu deity as Jabali maharshi wished. Jabali maharshi used to live in Tirumala and practiced meditation and that place is now known as “Jabali Tirtha” and “Japali Teertham”. Lord Hanuman is worshiped here and his idol has a gada in one hand decorated with bright red hue (sindhura) and dressed up in a silver armor along with idols of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy on top of the head blessing the devotees. It is located at a distance of 4.3 km from tirumala tirupati devasthanam.
Kumaradhara Tirtha
It is located 10 km west of Srivari temple. Magha Pournami is the best day to take a bath in this tirtha and this holy bath is called Parama Punya Pratham. It is believed to be the place where Lord Vishnu meditated here after killing the demon Tarakasura.
Tumburu Theertham
It is located about 16 km north of Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple and it is believed that taking a bath here gets rid of all sins. Tarigonda Vengamamba, a devotee of Venkateswara swami spent her final days in meditation of Swami here. Thousand years ago, there was a flood in the Tirumala hills and then a hill split into two and Tumburatirtha was formed.
Ramakrishna Theertham
It is located around 10 km to the north of Lord Venkateswara temple. Here, a saint named Sriramakrishna did meditation and made this teertha for his bathing.
Swami Pushkarini Theertham
It lies in the premises of Tirumala temple and it is believed that lord Balaji himself bathed in this pond along with his consorts.
Chakra Teertham
Chakra teertham is also a famous pond, next to Silathoranam and houses a Swayambu Lingam. It is believed that Lord Vishnu dived his Sudarshana Chakra and it fell into a place,which later came to be known as Chakra Teertham. It is the place where waterfalls are formed and located at a distance of 2.2 Km form tirumala devasthanam.
Vaikunta Teertham
It is deep inside Seshachalam forest and it is said that taking a bath here will give Vaikunta Prapthi after life and remove all sins.
Sesha Theertham
It is one the important Tirthas in Tirumala to the east of Srivari temple. It is located in a hill cave at a height of 2500 feet above sea level and there’s always a water hole as water will come out if we shake it with a bamboo stick.The water in Seethamma teertha meets in Sesha teertha. It is located at a distance of around 10 km from tirumala devasthanam.
Sitamma Theertham
A little above Sesha theertham is Sitamma Teertham. The water in Seethamma teertha meets in Sesha teertha. It is believed that this teertha got its name as according to puranas, Sitamma spent time here with Lava Kusha.
Pasupu Teertham
Pasupu theertham is also called as Punya theertham and is at a walkable distance to the main temple. It is said that taking a bath here wash away the troubles and bads and bless you with good fortune.
Sanaka Sanandana Teertham
