Vaishno Devi Temple, also known as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi temple is a temple of Goddess Vaishno devi, one of the major forms of goddess Lakshmi devi. It is on the slopes of Trikuta Hills at a height of 1,585 metres, 12 Km from Katra and is one of the 52 major Shakti Peethas dedicated to Durga. It is the most popular pilgrimage site and a huge number of devotees visit this temple daily and is one of the richest temples in India. To visit this temple one should reach Katra. It is 13.5 Km from Katra and you have to trek or take ponies or pallakis or via helicopter up to Sanjichhat which is 9.5 Km from the temple and from there walk around 30 mins to reach the temple. Devotees also visit Banganga, a sacred river in Katra and wish to take a dip before continuing the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra.

• Train departs from Delhi railway station at around 8:40 PM
• Overnight journey

Day 2 

• Arrival at Jammu railway station at around 5:00 AM
• Non-AC Vehicle transportation from Jammu station to Katra
• Halt at Saraswati Dham to collect the Yatra Parchi(permission for yatri to proceed the journey to temple)
• Check-in at a hotel, breakfast and drop at Banganga(a river in which devotees take a dip)
• Proceed to darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi
• Return to hotel in the evening
• Dinner & Stay for the night

Day 3

• Breakfast and leisure
• check-out from hotel at 12:00 PM 
• After lunch depart to Jammu Railway Station at around 2:00 PM by non-AC Vehicle
