History Behind Taramati Baradari Resort

Taramati Baradari Resort has a past story. The name Baradari means 12 doors and Taramati is the name of a famous classical dancer from the earlier era. Taramati and Premamathi are the sisters who used to stay in Taramati Gana Mandir and Premathi Nritya Mandir baradaris. They used to perform on a rope that tied from the Mandir to the Sultan’s Palace. After the Sultan was impressed with the performance of Taramati, he named that mandir Taramati Baradari.
